They said that the attack on the server that hosts MyQuiltBlog.com had rendered the backup files unusable. The only way to restore the website was to reinstall the software that runs MyQuiltBlog.com. I knew that I had saved a backup of MQB back in April, so I thought I could at least restore it to that point. After reinstalling the software, the database was empty...no blogs, users, etc. I tried restoring the April backup several times and each time got an error.

The next step is to contact the software developers to see if they can offer any help in restoring April backup. I'll let you know what happens when I find out what can be done about the backup.

So, the Good News is that MyQuiltBlog.com exists again, but the bad news is that it is the blogs are not back in place yet. Keep your fingers crossed that I can get the April backup to work!Kimhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08942712593718762628noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-606213086781774803.post-88362051212603729812009-06-07T12:46:00.000-05:002009-06-07T12:52:33.179-05:00No News on MyQuiltBlog.comTo all the MyQuiltBlog.com members, I'm posting just a quick note to let you know that our site still has not been restored after Thursday's "attack". (Our site was not targeted specifically...it affected hundreds of websites on several servers and our webhosting company has assured me that they are working diligently to restore each site one by one to the condition it was in before the "attack".

Hold tight and be patient. (I'm saying that more to myself than anyone else because I am definitely not known for my patience with computer issues, lol!)

I'll keep you updated here on this blog, so check back in. :)Kimhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08942712593718762628noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-606213086781774803.post-6005427360850595692009-06-07T07:23:00.004-05:002009-06-07T07:59:23.319-05:00Server Move to KNoblin.comGood Morning!

You may have noticed that when you type in BlockCentral.com, you are sent to knoblin.com.
